ASKED QUESTIONS | Q:
Do you sell to the Public? Unfortunately, we do not sell directly to the
general public. We only sell to authorized General Furniture Design (GFD) retailers.
Please Contact Us, or click on the Where
to Shop tool to find the retailer nearest you.
Q: Will my TV or
Big Screen fit in your units? TV brands vary in size. A tabletop Panasonic
36" TV will most likely have different outside dimensions than say a Toshiba or
a Sony 36" tabletop TV. This variation in brands and models is the reason we give
the TV Opening rather than saying for instance, all 36" TVs will fit. The TV Opening
is given separately for each unit. To choose the right entertainment unit, we
recommend you get the outside dimensions of the TV you are using, and make sure
the TV Opening is large enough to house it. The same rule applies for all Plasma,
HDTV, Big Screen, DLP, etc.
Q: I might change my TV in the future,
which Entertainment unit should I buy that would also accommodate a larger TV?
Visit our Home Theater & Wall Units section.
Most of these units can be bought either as 3 piece, 4 piece or 5 piece wall combinations.
The 3 or 4 piece is suitable for Big Screen TVs, and by adding the matching TV
Stand; the 5-piece wall unit will accommodate most tabletop TVs, Plasma, HDTV,
etc. They all come with expanding bridges which means they can handle a variety
of sizes just by moving the curios further or closer to each other, depending
on the width of your TV, (please see the TV opening dimensions for maximum distance
allowed). If you have a tabletop TV and may change to a bigger TV in the near
future, we recommend that you buy any of the 4 or 5 piece wall combinations. When
you do buy your new Big Screen TV, our Wall Units can accommodate the Big Screen
TV by removing the TV Stand and expanding the curios.

Q:
What is Tempered Glass and why is it better? Glass is heated to a temperature
near its softening point and forced to cool rapidly under carefully controlled
conditions. This heat-treating process produces highly desirable conditions of
induced stress that result in additional strength, resistance to thermal stress,
and impact resistance. With enough force or pressure, even tempered glass will
break, but it is much stronger than regular glass. To protect our families, we
at GFD think it is well worth the extra expense.
Q: I need assembly
instructions for my furniture. Where can I get them? If the item(s) you
purchased require assembly, detailed instructions should have been included with
your unit. In the event they were missing or you have misplaced them, please submit
the following information: a copy of your original sales receipt, your name, fax
number or mailing address and the model number(s) you need to assemble. You may
e-mail your request by clicking Contact Us; or fax
your request to 323-846-9503, or mail it to:
